Hello, my name is Marc Ayala and I am interning with Red Door Real Estate this summer doing social media marketing. I hope to gain new skills in marketing as well as implement the ones I already know.
I am from Buffalo, NY and went to high school at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute. I currently go to school at the University at Buffalo and I am majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. I have taken classes in operations management, human resources, financial reporting, applied business economics, and many more! As a senior at UB, I have learned a lot in my 3 years here and hope to finish my last year strong.
In my free time, one of the things I enjoy to do is work on cars by detailing and customizing them. Working solo and with the help of Buffalo Skins (formerly Buffalo Dips), I have had the opportunity to work on the cars of the Buffalo Bills players and owner. My job for Buffalo Skins has always been to pick up/drop off the customer’s car, so on occasion you might find me at the Buffalo Bills Fieldhouse picking up a player’s vehicle.
If I’m not detailing/customizing cars, I am working with music producers helping them make the connections they need to help them get to the next level by talking to artists, managing their social media, selling their beats, and much more. I currently have one 2x RIAA platinum producer, NickEBeats, I manage and he has 2 other producers under his production crew that I also manage. During my sophomore year at UB I was in Toronto and met the first producer I have managed, The Lab Cook. During my time with Lab Cook I have made multiple media campaigns and managed his social media accounts. Lab Cook is responsible for Rich the Kid’s hit songs “Plug Walk” and “Splashin”. While I stay in close contact with Lab Cook these days, he has decided to go with a record label management team to foresee the rest of his career. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Lab Cook and make the connections I have in the music industry.
This summer I hope to bring all I know about social media and marketing to the table and see what else I can learn along the way. As we live in a time where things are always changing, I believe it is impossible to know everything about social media’s algorithms.
